Teatrul Act came about in 1995 but the first play at the theatre was launched in September 1998. The ACT theatre has hosted, technically
supported and promoted other independent theatre companies' productions as well as its' own. It also hosts cultural events, such as music and dance performances, debates, seminars, workshops, book-launches also photograph, painting and sculpture exhibitions..

The Bulandra Theatre was founded in 1947 as Teatrul Municipal; its first director was Lucia Sturdza Bulandra, one of the leading Romanian stage actresses of her generation Since 1991, the Bulandra Theatre has been a member of the Union of European Theatres, which was founded in March 1990. Originally Teatrul Municipal, the theatre later acquired the name Teatrul Lucia Sturdza Bulandra, now shortened to Teatrul

Odeon Theatre is one of Bucharest’s leading theatres and was founded in 1946 as the Giulesti Theatre. Inaugurated in 1974, the Majestic Hall
of the theatre, in the very heart of the city. It is the most elegant auditorium in Bucharest and the only one in Europe with sliding ceiling. In 1990, the Giulesti Theatre changed its name into The Odeon Theatre

NATIONAL THEATRE BUCHAREST
National Theatre Bucharest came into existence during April 1836 the Societatea Filarmonica bought the Câmpinencii Inn to build a theatre on the site. However, the earthquake of 1838 damaged the inn beyond repair and it needed to be
torn down. The current National Theatre is located about half a kilometre away from the old site and has been in use since 1973.

The National din Cluj Napoca Theatre, was built between 1904-1906 as "Nemzeti Színház" (National Theatre) for the Kingdom of Hungary by Ferdinand Fellner & Hermann Helme and officially opened 8 September 1906 with F. Herczeg's "Bujdosók".
Home to both the Hungarian theatre company since 1919 and home to the local Romanian theatre company. The theatre was later on renamed Teatrul National
