Synopsis  
     
 

 

Krapp's Last Tape is a play that expresses how society causes people to become the cause of their   own isolation and loneliness. In this play the main character is Krapp.

 

Krapp is an isolated man who has found comfort in planning out his life and reflecting and justifying his past faults. Because he is in seclusion Krapp interacts with recordings of self conversations he had created years before.

 

In these tapes Krapp finds some form of comfort. Cutting people out of his life, due to the fact that he has a higher purpose, which is not directly expressed.

 

Through out the play we gradually unfold the events that have led Krapp to this state and we see how he became the man that he is

The ACT Theatre (was established in 1995 but the first production at the theatre "The Citadel of the Sun" was launched in September 1998) The theatre has produced its own performances and hosted, technically supported and promoted other independent theatre companies' productions as well.

Also the theatre hosts cultural events as well, such as music, dance performances, workshops, seminars, debates, book-launches, photograph, painting and sculpture exhibitions.
