Site Information
The
website was created and designed in the early part
of July 2007 by Melanie Neal. I I have been a fan of
Marcel Iures since 1997 when I saw him in the
action film entitled, The Peacemaker. Since then I
have tried to obtain as many films as I can
starring such a fantastic actor. My real dream
would be to see him perform on stage but I will
have to go to Bucharest (one day I will). My
website is hosted by Lunapages.com and I am
located in Northumberland,

Film in Pre Production
Between the 3 - 21 November 2008, the film entitled "The Phantom Father" will commence shooting in thirteen locations within the city of Braila and shall star Marcel Iures and actress Mihaela Sirbu will also appear in several scenes. According to an email I received from the film producer / director, Lucian Georgescu. The film makers are considering a three film project package with Marcel, and the films possibly be called The

On the 25 October 2008 TVR 1 show called Garantat 100% - showed a special program about Marcel Iures and the Teatrul ACT. A three quarter hour long film documentary shows Marcel Iures talking about ACT as well as in depth look at the workings of the theatre and the dedicated team and actors within it. Festival National De Teatru
Every year, during the first days of November, Bucharest and its leading theatres and performing venues will play host to the major theatre event in the Romanian National Theatre Festival. In 2008 RNTF will be celebrating its 18th edition and the festival shall have a ten-day presentation from the
1st - 10th, of November consisting of the best Romanian theatre shows of 2007. The Odeon theatre shall be presenting on the 08.11.08, the play Camera de Hotel starring Marcel Iures and is scheduled to start at 8pm.
